Benches & Tables

Each of Skyview Ranch’s parks and green spaces is generously provided with wooden benches and picnic tables where residents can rest, relax, meet friends, enjoy lunch and watch their children in the playgrounds.

 

The original benches were installed by the City of Calgary Parks Department and repair or replacement is still the responsibility of the City of Calgary.

 

A further six (6) benches have since been supplied, installed and maintained by the Skyview Ranch Homeowners Association.

 

The park at Skyview Ranch Road and Skyview Ranch Way also has a shaded table and seating area.

Although major repairs and replacement is the responsibility of the city, the Home Owners Association felt the benches needed more care than the city could provide.

 

In 2024, the HOA purchased the materials and volunteers from the HOA board provided over 60 hours of free labour to clean, sand, scrape and repaint all 10 benches in the park near Circle K making the 14 year old benches look new again.

 

More benches will be repainted in 2025 with volunteer help from Skyview Ranch residents.
